The gilded cage of parenthood
Being a parent: a gilded cage. But a cage. Under the weight of the responsibility, we let ourselves be worn thin. The way out is not performance. It is the admission.
Sèna Sublime
For the evenings when cooking weighs more than it should.

I was born in Benin.
I am the mother of five children.
In January 2025, while I was carrying the last one, my body refused the old road. Too much tiredness. Nothing left coming in from anywhere else.
That is when I heard it — that voice… It asked me whether I might not want to pause. Like a sauce left on a low flame, a sauce that takes its time, and lets everything in it come together.
Out of that forced pause came Sèna Sublime. A digital publishing house where philosophy no longer stands against cooking, where parenthood is no longer the enemy of thought. Six books in the making, each one born of a kitchen gesture and a truth told at the table.
What I have understood
Being a parent: a gilded cage. But a cage. Under the weight of the responsibility, we let ourselves be worn thin. The way out is not performance. It is the admission.
Real love does not stand against the rule. It asks for it. Punishments that build, never punishments that cast out. That is where the difference is decided between the child who obeys and the child who becomes free.
The child: the dream, everyday magic in its purest state. You: the structure, the wisdom. The bridge is crossed both ways — and it is the crossing that mends, not the performance.
The founding place
Symbolic.
Eating is vital. You will sit down to it at least twice a day.
A moment when one may choose to speak. Or to keep out of each other's way.
That is where this message passes, so simple, and yet founding for a soul still opening:
You matter eternally.
Unconditionally.
You are the extraordinary one.
A gift to begin with
A small book. A gift. Seven tiny gestures for the mother who is still standing — not theories, not methods, not one more thing to carry. Gestures, simply.
It reaches your inbox within a minute. It fits into one evening.
It reminds you, at seven in the evening, that you are allowed to breathe first.
One word every Sunday: La Table de Sèna. Nothing for sale.
Would you like to know me a little better?

In 2022, I wrote a book. Happiness, My Best Friend.
I wrote it on my own. I wanted to sell it on my own too.
I knew nothing about web marketing. Nothing about landing pages, nothing about search, nothing about all those words I have learnt since and that, back then, sounded like a foreign language.
And behind it all, there was the work. Writing, editing, laying out, translating, building, selling, replying, starting again. One person. Twenty-four hours in a day, minus the meals, the children, the tiredness.
I gave up.
That isn't a pleasant sentence to write. It is the true one.
I had dozens of titles and thousands of sentences running through my head. The idea of a digital publishing house came knocking again. And with it, the same question as in 2022: how on earth to do it.
I thought about artificial intelligence. I knew nothing about it.
I sat through a talk by Alégria, a leading voice on AI in France. I took away a single word: Lovable. A tool. What to do with it was still an open question.
Then I heard about Claude. One video, on YouTube, settled everything. A single sentence: don't write to Claude like a developer, or like a manager.
So I did what children do. I used my curiosity, my nerve and my instinct.
That is where the adventure began.
Very quickly, it wasn't the answers that changed everything. It was the questions.
Being asked why, for whom, at what moment, in which kitchen — I realised something. I knew exactly what I wanted.
For two months, I set down the charter of this house. I trained the tool on everything I had written. My punctuation, my silences, my short sentences, my way of stopping just before the end.
There was never any question of Claude writing my books.
I already had the titles. I already had the sentences. What I handed over was what I didn't know how to do: the marketing, the structure, the technical side. On one non-negotiable condition — that my voice be respected.
It then became my translator. It carried my thoughts to Lovable, which builds this site. To Genspark, which illustrates my tales.
Everything you see on these pages is original. It came out of my imagination. It was created entirely from my own ideas.
Artificial intelligence tools let me put colour and shape on top of it.
For a mother of five with dreams of her own, that is beyond measure.
Legal notice — The works of this house are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools, under the editorial direction of the author.

To my children, thank you for going through the hard hours and the beautiful ones with me. It is this whole life, yours and mine woven together, that brought these books into being.
To my father, who always treated me as someone set apart.
To my mother, who always made me believe I had the right to dream big and to follow my aspirations all the way.
To my brothers, who made me love books and let me grow up somewhere joyful and safe.
And to everyone who inspired this site. To Kelly Massol, for the proof that a community is built before a product. To Quentin Merle du Bourg and his brother Edouard. To Authority Hacker, for the architecture of pillar pages. To Forbes Riley, for the art of selling a transformation rather than a product. To Alégria, for making artificial intelligence tools clear at last.

One Sunday, one sentence. A whole week to let it steep.
